Grief at the Passing of IAEA DG Yukiya Amano

Having received the news that Director General Yukiya Amano of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had passed away,
we would like to express our deepest condolences.

Mr. Amano, as Director General, with consummate skill and dedication, led the IAEA for ten years, three terms, in its advocacy of Atoms for Peace and Development.
His passing is felt deeply in Japan and is a loss for the world.
We cannot but grieve and pray for the repose of his soul.

Akio Takahashi, President, JAIF
