Restarting of Takahama NPPs is Approved

On December 24, the Fukui District Court lifted its temporary injunction issued in April blocking operation of the Takahama-3 and -4 Nuclear Power Plants (PWRs, 870MWe each), owned and operated by the Kansai Electric Power Co. (Kansai EP). This enables the two units to legally restart.

The district court has also lifted its temporary injunction blocking operation of the Ohi-3 and -4 NPPs (PWRs, 1180MWe each), also owned and operated by Kansai EP.
