MHI will manufacture the pumps at its Takasago Works in Hyogo Prefecture and deliver them sequentially to Trillium Flow Technologies in the UK, which is scheduled to conduct operational testing. Trillium will also oversee project management, motor procurement, factory testing, and on-site installation guidance.

The SZC project, planned by Électricité de France (EDF) and the UK government, is located in Suffolk, eastern England, and is based on the same design as the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Units 1 and 2, which are already under construction. MHI previously received and fulfilled an order for 34 pumps of five types for HPC, and the current contract follows that track record.
